In a letter to the President of TIG, Mikulas Peksa, the Tibetan Parliament in Exile expressed their gratitude for calling on China for the release of the 11th Panchem Lama. In their letter they also expressed their disbelief to the brief statements of Zhao Lijan’s recent statement about the Pancham Lama which stated, that: “neither the now 31-year-old man nor his family wishes to be disturbed in their current normal lives.”
