On the occasion of the 31st birthday of the Panchem Lama (Gedhun Choekyi Nyima), President of the Tibetan Interest Group, Mikulas Peksa, urged the European Commission to call upon the Chinese government to finally ensure freedom of religion and belief in Tibet, by freeing the Panchem Lama and his parents immediately without any conditions, together with all Tibetan political prisoners.
