Dear Friend of Tibet,
welcome to the homepage of the Tibet Interest Group (TIG). We started in 1989 and have since become a strong voice for the interests of the Tibetan people and a constructive dialogue between the Tibetan Government in Exile and the People’s Republic of China.
What we do:
We meet each month in Brussels to discuss and spread knowledge of recent developments in Tibet and China. The TIG was responsible for all resolutions of the European Parliament concerning the human rights situation in Tibet and saved lives of political prisoners through a constructive dialogue with the Chinese government. We carry through hearings, debates, exhibitions and interparliamentary conferences with more than 500 participants from all over the world
